Combine It with Exercise
Now, even though the study shows that you did not need to actually exercise to get the benefit of losing weight when taking hydrolyzed collagen, it’s still recommended. As you already know exercise is essential for building muscle. So even though collagen can help you lose weight it is still recommended to utilize some exercise regimen. There is no significant evidence showing that ingesting collagen by itself can help build muscle.
Collagen can do amazing things for your body. But one thing you need to understand is that if you’re a vegetarian or if you’re allergic to shellfish or any marine-based oboe bovine based substance then collagen might not be for you. Essentially, everyone needs it. But there is currently at least to my awareness no. 100% vegan or vegetarian-based collagen supplements because they all require the use of animals.
